Based on the electroluminescence effect of semiconductor materials-when current passes through the LED chip, electrons and holes recombine, releasing energy and emitting visible light in the form of photons. Depending on the pixel pitch (i.e., the distance between the centers of adjacent LEDs), LED displays can be divided into three categories: small pitch (≤2.5mm), standard pitch (2.5-10mm), and large pitch (>10mm), suitable for indoor high-definition displays, stage performances, outdoor advertising, and other scenarios, respectively.
